Fender Silverface Twin Reverb (1970)

A really lovely, early Silverface Twin Reverb in great condition.  We have fully reverted this first generation Silverface AC568 back to the more desirable blackface AB763 circuit.  This being one of the few early pre-master volume twins, the layout is identical to the blackface version, so the changes were relatively minor, around the bias, phase inverter and power valve cathode bypass components.  This is now sonically indistinguishable from the earlier mid-60s Twin Reverbs.  The cosmetics are untouched thought, it's 100% Silverface, including the lovely blue line grille cloth.  The amp has also been re-capped where necessary (bypass & filter camps) and the mains transformer has been swapped out for Hammond one running UK voltages.  The wheels are after market add-ons.  The footswitch and Oxford speakers are original, we believe.  Also, a new quad of 6L6s were added.  A rare chance to own an astonishingly great sounding amp at a fraction of its normal cost.
