Ampeg Super Echo Twin (ET-2-B) 2-Channel 30-Watt 2x12" Guitar Combo (1965)
The Ampeg Super Echo Twin is one of only three very stereo amp designs produced in the sixties. The Echo Twin has two complete amps in the same cabinet and has options on how to share the tremolo and the reverb between them (basically wet-wet or wet-dry). The tremolo & reverb are lush, quite unlike the Fender equivalents, and the resulting spacial effects are nothing short of unworldly. The Tolex and other cosmetics have seen a bit of use commensurate with its age. I have had to change both failed output transformers with new replacements from Flip Top. All other major components, PTs, speakers, etc, are original, and I've replaced a couple of failing resistors and valves to restore it to full health.
It runs on US voltage and so you will require a step-down transformer to run it in the UK.
